PAIR OF GILT-BRONZE SCULPTURES ON MARBLE BASES, inscribed Clodion

Cast after the model by Clodion (1738 – 1814),
one cast in the form of a satyr holding a chalice over a baby satyr, with another baby satyr at his feet,
the other a satyress giving a grapevine to a baby satyr with a putti at her feet.
Each sculpture raised on circular rosso marble base, and inscribed CLODION to the back
Satyr – hight 15 1/2 in. (39 cm), satyress – height 15 in. (38 cm)
CONDITION:
A few areas of light rubbing to patina, good overall condition.
