RUSSIAN PATINATED BRONZE MODEL OF TSAR CANNON

Realistically cast as a model of the famous Russian cannon (see note)

Hight 4 in. (10,2 cm), length 6 1/8 in. (15,6 cm)

CONDITION:

Some wear, areas of rubbing to patina. Good overall condition.

NOTE:

In 1586 Russian Tsar Feodor Ivanovich, son of Ivan the Terrible, commissioned a huge cannon. Weighing almost 40 tons it was intended as a showpiece of Russian military might and engineering. It is decorated with reliefs, including one depicting Tsar Feodor Ivanovich on a horse. The cannon is located within the walls of the Moscow Kremlin. Per the Guinness Book of Records it is the largest bombard by caliber in the world.
