With roundels depicting views of Moscow and engraved with Cyrillic initials SZR surrounded by scrolling foliage,
the hinged lid with a thumb piece also decorated with scrolling foliage
Marked P. Ovchinnikov with a maker’s mark VS, both in Cyrillic, Moscow 1878 and 84 Russian silver standard
Height (including thumb piece) 4 7/8 in. (12,4 cm)
CONDITION:
Light scratching and wear to the interior and bottom consistent with age. Most of the original gilding on the outside has worn off, inside gilding is good. Good overall condition.
